SYHPANZ was established by a group of youth health professionals committed to the development of the youth health specialty
in new Zealand.
The inaugural meeting of SYHPANZ was held at the "Collaborative" Youth Health Research Conference in Christchurch
on the 24th October 2007.
SYHPANZ was incorporated as a society by the Ministry of Economic Development on the 19th November 2007.
